DEPARTMENTAL INFORMATION & REQUESTS:

(2.1)

COMMISSIONERS:

Discussion and possible action to approve or disapprove adjustments to Lander County’s exempt salary new hire base ranges. The proposed update would incorporate negotiated cost-of-living (COL) increases into the established base salary ranges moving forward for consideration every three years.

Currently, many of these base ranges have not been updated for several years, with some remaining unchanged since as early as 2015 through 2023. As a result, the existing ranges may no longer accurately reflect current market conditions or negotiated increases.

The proposed adjustment is intended to ensure that new hire salary bases remain competitive, aligned with previously approved COL increases, and reflective of current compensation standards. This change would apply only to future hires and would not impact the salaries of employees currently in these positions.
